This project is a functional design of a judicial complex in Kermanshah, Iran. The design is based on sustainable architecture and region’s climate that looks for the answer to the question which is how much an appropriate design can reduce energy consumption in this judicial complex and what the standards of judicial complex design are in order to maximize compliance to psychological needs, functional needs of users and being symbolic. Also the most important goal of this design is the design of judicial complex that has minimum incompatibility and conflict with the environment around it and region and the building stands as a credit and dignity of a righteous, efficient and independent judiciary and shows the foundation of the government.

 

Sustainable Functional Systems Used in the Project:

Taking more advantage from solar energy by the extension and elongation of the plan in the direction of the east-west axis

Using a compact and volumetric form that has the lowest ratio of the outer surface to the volume and surface-to-area

Positioning in the site according to the angle of radiation and absorption at the maximum hours which is 45 degrees.

The design of high-rise atrium in the project for maximum use of sunlight with green space for ventilation and combining with architectural elements like stairs.

Including large windows in the facades overlooking Sunny Windows

Green roof design for air adjustment, reducing pollution, providing comfort

Using climatic factors with the help of equipment such as:

Reflector, directional light, heat exchanger and ...

Using sustainable facades with the goal of honoring three principles, strength and resistance, sustainability and beauty by using materials with close source to the site, recyclable, having long life and durability and obtained from the region like stone.

Co-ordination with the site by paying attention to the accessibility and urban location
